We are proud to have designed the new ESPN set for their ‪‎Euro 2016‬ studio coverage.
Located in Paris, France, the set overlooks the bank of the River Seine with views of the Eiffel Tower. After an intense start, due to French protesters marching for their labor rights and the flooding of the River Seine, ESPN riverside coverage is back and looking better than ever!

Happy Holidays from Everyone at Hotopp Associates

This year at Hotopp we are celebrating the holidays with the opening of 6 holiday themed family attractions.

ICE!  is celebrating its 15th consecutive year at all four Gaylord Resorts. With over two million pounds of larger than life hand-carved holiday scenes at each resort location, our designers hope to bring smiles and holiday cheer to you and your family this winter.

Kalightoscope, the Hotopp designed holiday themed illuminated lantern show, returns to the Galt House Resort Hotel in Louisville, Kentucky. This year the team at Hotopp designed and fabricated an awe-inspiring rendition of the Charles Dickens classic 'A Christmas Carol'.

Gaylord National Tree

No Christmas would be complete without a tree.  This year we decided to go big. Really Big.  Our custom designed iconic tree is over 40 feet tall, made from eleven giant interconnected shimmering stars, and suspended inside Gaylord National's nineteen story glass atrium.  Each night the atrium comes alive with an immersive tree lighting ceremony featuring a synchronized music and light show.

2015 - 2016

It’s been a great year for everyone here at Hotopp and it wouldn't have been possible without our staff, clients, partners, and family.  Thank you and have a safe, wonderful holiday season.  We can't wait to get started on 2016!

Hotopp Associates designed the stadium environment for the 2015 NHL Winter Classic at Nationals Park in Washington, DC.   The field was designed as a homage to the our nation's Capital and National Mall.  The star shape was inspired by Freemason Pierre L’Enfant's street plan design and architectural layout for the Washington DC area. Players took the ice by emerging from the miniature replica of the Capitol and skating across a frozen reflecting pool before entering the ice hockey rink.

Hotopp Associates designed Luminasia for the LA County Fair 92nd anniversary.  Running from August 28th to September 28th, Luminasia, lights up LACF’s hillside with a spectacular, larger-than-life Asian themed whimsical lanterns. Each is hand-crafted and custom built using an ancient art form and 100 artisans from China.

Hotopp Associates designed the studio spaces for ESPN's domestic and international coverage of the 2014 World Cup.  The studios were designed for a custom-built space on the property of a private club, in order to capture spectacular views of Sugarloaf Mountain and its surroundings.  The design concept plays strongly to local history and culture.  The two main sets are each divided into a couple of playable areas, providing a number of configurations for commentary, content delivery, and interactive media.

We are excited for the series and happy to have this opportunity to design for ESPN’s World Cup coverage again after working on the South Africa set in 2010.
